Fin-Diemme manufacture high performance solutions for the food packaging industry aimed at added value automation technology and adhesive application. The systems are typcially designed to be integrated into existing production lines into new or existing lines. Focus is on minimal footprint to save production floor space and cycle time to maintain productivity output. The main products provided into this industry is Rim adhesive coating systems and absorbant pad insertion.
Fin-Diemme has developed and patented an In-Line Adhesive Coating (IAC) system for the application of adhesive to the rims of the trays only. This allows mono PET to be thermoformed and the applied ahdesive is then reactivated to seal the films. The most common application is MAP trays for meats such as chicken and pork where the rims can easily be contaminated during the packing process preventing alternative systems selaing the trays. The coating system is integrated into the forming line between the thermoformer and cutting/stacking process and applies the adhesive to the trays when the formed trays are static in the transfer chain via high speed roller coating technology.
To compliment the In-LIne adhesive Coating system Fin-Diemme has recently added to the range an In-Line Padding System (IPS). This system unwinds rolls sof abosrobant material, cuts the material to the required length onto a vacuum belt and then places the pads into the trays in-line using a robot with a vacuum assisted head to hold the pads during the movement. Adhesive is applied into the trays whilst the trays index forward immediatly prior to the pads being placed into the trays ensuring a quick and effective bond.
