The new RCC coating system has been developed for the coating of hot melt adhesives onto flexible cut parts, Typical materials being coated include PVC, PUR, TPO, Leather and various carpet textiles. The heated roller coater can be used to apply the majority of hotmelt adhesive chemistries including reaction Polyolefins and Polurethanes and thermoplastic adhesives such as Polyolefins, EVA's and Pressure Sensitives.
The RCC is different to alternative systems in the market as in this process the material to be coated s fixed onto a none moving plate and then the coater traverses over the part to be coated useing a servo driven axis. This has various advantages including:
- Reduced overall footprint of the equipment, compact System.
- Various methods of holding the material during the coating system to allow a full or partial coating (as preferred) such as vacuum, retractable needles and interchangeable clamp fixtures.
- High speed cycle times.
- Single operator load / unload point for subtrates.
As part of the complete solution Fin-Diemme also manufacture and supply various adhesive melting transfer systems to feed the glue into the roller coating systems such as drum unloaders, melter tanks and tanks systems with carrier plates for high melt rate and continuous running.
