The In-Line Padding System is designed for the insertion of absorbent pads into PET food trays. The absorbant material is loaded as coils and is unwind and cut to size with a high speed cutting blade onto a vacuum belt. The pads are then picked up and inserted into the trays via a robot that uses a vacuum head to transport the pads and push them into the trays. The trays have adhesive dosed inside the via high speed applicator valves to bond the pads in place.
